Finding 10 In A Row

We went looking for 10 geocaches in a series. A serious thunderstorm was looming over us, so we pushed hard to get this one done as soon as possible, and found, signed and reassembled all ten within 1 hour.

This series was called Avian Habitat. Bet you can't guess why... (remember, click on the images for a larger view)

We did this all on bicycle. The trail is really nice and smooth for a good ride.

Here's the second one. Looks like the camo-covered bird house is going to be something of a theme, huh?

Ah, here's one hiding under some Spanish moss.

And how about hiding in a palm tree? Something of a 'Florida Hide'.

While we were on the trail, suddenly a bunch of rescue vehicles, a couple of police cars and park ranger trucks went zipping by. Apparently, somebody got hurt on the trail.

Last one going around the corner...

We continued on our hunt, finding this one in an oak tree.

While we were working on this one, we could hear something coming up the road from the direction the rescue vehicles went to.

It was the ambulance, and they were working on somebody in the back. We have no idea what happened though.

Another 'around the bend' shot.

This one was number nine.

And number 10 is positioned right next to this lake. Nice view.

Ok, let's get the last one signed...

Oh, and we came across this baby gator on the way out. Isn't he cute?
