Elena's Dance Recital

We were invited to Elena's dance recital so we could see her progress in her ballroom dancing class. Here are a couple of pictures and as you can see, she was simply having fun...

Her dance instructor ran her through several warm-up routines so she could loosen up.

Every once in a while, they would stop and he would offer some small pointers.

Then, they were off again...

It helps to work with different partners so you don't rely too heavily on one person's dancing style.

When break-time was called, sodas and champagne refreshments were passed out. Meanwhile, I was showing Katrina & Brad the picture of them dancing in the woods I had posted on the Dog-Eat-Dog geocaching event here.

And here is Elena at the begining of her dance recital. A little bit nervous, but she quickly 'smoothed out'.

Soon, they were swirling around the dance floor, smoothly and gracefully.

As you can see, she really is 'getting into it'.

It's nice to see that Elena has found something that has sparked her interest and is helping her to exercise and feel better about herself. She said she is doing well enough to enter into an upcoming competition, so we'll most likely have more to report on that, coming soon...
