Happy Thanksgiving!

We decided to do Thanksgiving a little differently this year. We chose to visit my friend Charlie in Jacksonville and go camping for the 4-day weekend. Let me tell you about it...
As you can see, we're all set up and we even have our Thanksgiving dinner ready. I caught Luann while she was taking a 'food porn' photo.

Since a Low Country Boil is simple and very tasty, that's what we went with.

Smile for the camera!

Oh, I forgot to mention that our tire peeled apart (Gator-Skinned)on I-75 on our way up here. It took us about 20 minutes to change out while RVs, SUVs and Big Rigs were going by us at 70mph. The van and camper were rocking every time one of them went by, but nothing fell off the jack, thank goodness.

When we got to the campground, I noticed that when the tire gator-skinned, it bent the back of the fender up on the van. This will be easy to bend back down. At least it didn't hit the plastic front of the camper.

There' nothing like a campfire to warm your toes. And, to make s'mores!

Oh, and to cook a Hobo-Dinner like we learned in the scouts. Just have to be careful and not over cook them though.

While we were in Jacksonville, we visited Fort Caroline nearby.

A shot along the wall.

Just one of the bridges we thought was interesting during our travels.

Breakfast at the campsite. There's nothing like the smell of frying bacon in the morning. We got to try out almost all of the 'amenities' in the camper, to include the hot water heater and the shower. It was great to discover that everything worked pretty well.

See, we're tucked back in the trees.

Just a nice, misty-morning view.

And perhaps, a second one.

Well, it's time to head home. This was fun, we're gonna have to do this again!
