Getting Ready For The Thanksgiving 'Camp-o-Ree'

We spent some time up north getting ready for the family Thanksgiving camping get-together. Karen, Kylor & I went up there mainly to help out with getting things ready and to set up the tent and stuff.

Since we didn't have the instructions, diagram or a picture, it took us about 1/2 an hour to get the tent up, but we made out alright. If you're wondering about the black thing to the left, we brought a portable fire pit with us too. I can just smell the "S-Mores", waiting to be made.

Next was setting up the tables and chairs at the front area.

The house is getting a bunch of attention and everything is looking good. At this point, Uncle Claude is working on putting up the outdoors Christmas tree.

Taking a break after a full day of work.

After we were done there, Karen, Kylor & I did a little geocaching at the Weir Lake park. There is a series there with 'critters' involved with the cache. This one here is the Toad Cache. We also found the Pelican and Elephant geocaches too.

I caught a picture of Karen as she was checking out this pair of trees...

And then, she had a 'tree-hugger' moment.

A pose for a quick shot, then we walked over to the boat ramp.

We walked down to the floating docks and checked the depth of the water for the possibilty of going sailing here with our sailboat in the future. It's one of the nicest dock systems we've seen.

Ah, the setting sun. This is a great park, and you just know that we'll be coming back to find the rest of the geocaches here.
